David Boike, a well-known financial educator and advisor, is a senior partner with Retirement Resources and investment adviser representative. For over 30 years, David has taught investors over the age of 55 years to preserve their assets, increase their income and reduce their income taxes.
David’s latest book, High Tide: A Practical Guide for Affluent Retirees to Protect, Profit and Prosper from the Coming Storm, discusses the specific challenges today’s retirees are facing and shares cutting-edge solutions to address those challenges.
David is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), a designation awarded only to experienced advisors who have completed a 10-course program of study focusing on tax investment, risk management, retirement planning and estate planning. He is also a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Planners. Retirement Resources has received the 5 star Wealth Manager of Michigan award for more than 10 years.
David and his wife, Cherie, are the proud parents of two sons and grandparents of six grandchildren. They are active members of Trinity Baptist Church and are passionate about serving the community. While David and Cherie have traveled all over the world, you’re most likely to find them in a gym watching one of their grandkids playing sports.
With nearly two decades at Retirement Resources, DJ serves as a Senior Partner and Investment Advisor Representative, known for his client-first approach and long-term perspective. He specializes in personalized financial planning rooted in education, clarity, and thoughtful strategy to help clients navigate retirement with confidence.
Before entering financial services, DJ spent six years as a high school teacher and athletic director, an experience that shaped his passion for coaching and mentoring. That same mindset defines his advisory approach today—whether working directly with clients or contributing as a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. In addition to his advisory role, DJ is a Registered Financial Consultant and Certified Tax Preparer, allowing him to deliver holistic, tax-efficient retirement guidance.
DJ holds a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Secondary Education from Northland Baptist Bible College, with additional studies at Cornerstone University, Central Michigan University, and Michigan State University. Outside the office, he has coached basketball for over 20 years and is a member of the Michigan Coaches Association “200 Win Club.” DJ and his wife of 24 years, Jennifer, are proud parents of four and enjoy farm life, outdoor adventures, and active involvement at The Rock Church.
Jake Boike is the chief operating officer for Retirement Resources. Jake works hard to ensure the procedures of the company are executed to a high level. He’s involved in many aspects of the business, from serving current clients to marketing to prospective clients. In addition to running the operations of Retirement Resources, Jake is Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®) and a licensed insurance agent.
Jake attended Mott Community College for business education. He obtained his RFC® from the Society of Registered Financial Consultants and attended Michigan State University for his financial planning license.
Jake is married to his high school sweetheart and has two children: Trenton and Isabella. The family attends Riverdale Baptist Church and loves spending time and traveling together. Jake also coaches varsity girls’ basketball and has a passion for teaching basketball to kids of all ages.
